Saint Petka’s Chapel

The only church in Croatia with a four-leaf layout is located in Budinjak. More precisely, its ruins, that is, its foundations. The old chapel was knocked down at the beginning of the 19th century but at the moment, as a part of archaeological research in Nature Park Žumberak, the works are carried out to determine precise dates of the chapel and acquiring more information on this unique construction. The foundations have been conserved and near the remains there is the chapel of Saint Petronila which was devastated in the Second World Was and renovated in 1978 and 1980.
