The central place of the Samobor art life, the Prica Gallery was founded following the incentive by the academic Zlatko Prica, a world-class painter who donated the Town of Samobor a precious collection of his paintings and sculptures as well as photographs of Vesna Prica.
The Prica Gallery opened on 18 October 2002 and has since then regularly offered top-level visual arts programmes to the cultural public but has also encouraged artists to present and help develop young creators. The Gallery has organized numerous artistic collaborations, among others initiated by Prica's artistic life in Pécs and Tar, as well as projects like the Triennial Auto portrait.
Permanent gallery exhibition is located on the first floor of the building Hrvatski dom. There are thirty oils on canvas, two bronze sculptures by Zlatko Prica, and the exhibition shows all creative cycles in the long-standing work of the artist: from early works related to the studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, through "Samobor cycle", "Fruits of the Earth", "People and fruits", "Anatomy of nature", up to the famous "Tar cycle" and "Opatija's umbrellas". The Prica Gallery stores, keeps and presents the donation collection of Zlatko and Vesna Price, and continuously collects and processes the documentation of the work of these artists.
The small hall on the ground floor is mostly reserved for exhibitions of artists who have responded to the call for applications as well as for creative workshops.
