A parish church built on probably the highest altitude in the Zagreb archdiocese is the church of the Holy Spirit in Noršić Selo, at 678 metres above sea level. Although there used to be a wooden chapel on the location, the historical records mention the church for the first time in 1642 as a stone chapel of the Samobor parish which later, in 1813 became the parish church. The church was renovated several times during the 19th and the 20th centuries, so the three Baroque-style altars of the 19th century were replaced by two shrines in the Classicist style, while the wall paintings probably date back to the 19th century.
