Old Town Tuščak
Those who enjoy history riddles, the ruins of Tuščak represent an ideal location.
Near the village of Kravljak, on 585 metres above sea level, there are remains of two towers 20 metres apart in the woods. There is another smaller tower and nearby are trenches. We know that the first tower was not finished, and that in the second one there were remains of ceramics, metal objects, and wooden constructions and that it was destroyed in a fire.
It is believed that the Old Town Tuščak was built at the end of the 12 and the beginning of the 13th century, while it was probably abandoned and derelict in the 14th century. What had happened, why had it not been finished, why had it been built in that location are some of the questions you might discover if you take the climbers’ route towards the old town of Tuščak.
